Retro Cetra is a retro inspired set design and decor team based out of Los Angeles. Created by duo Ryan Conferido (Musician/Host/Dancer and Emmy-award winning Choreographer) and Smac McCreanor (Dancer/Actress and Performance Artist) Retro Cetra is known for building vibrant, funky and detailed set designs, pop-up installations and handmade furniture decor.
Ryan and Smac have always shared a love for retro aesthetic and creative direction but it wasn't until 2020 where they began bringing their visions to life as a pair. Their first design project was opening a multi-set production studio, The Billy Studio, with the purpose of creating a professional level workspace rentable to productions and creatives. The Billy Studio, home to 5 retro inspired set designs, quickly became a reputable hot spot within the Los Angeles rental studio scene. The set designs have featured in name brand campaigns, major artist music videos, promo's and more. With the success of Billy, a second location was launched, The Boxie Studio. Both The Boxie Studio and The Billy Studio are still operating with the original designs but have since gone under new ownership.
Ryan & Smac, now working as "Retro Cetra", continue to design and build commissioned installations and custom order furniture pieces.  Most recently they built a funky installation for Pigeon's Roller Rink in Long Beach CA and have a pop-up booth for their handmade retro inspired room dividers and home decor at the infamous Melrose Flea Market in LA.
