Brisbane, Australia

Smac developed a knack for being a multidisciplinary artist in her early teens. Starting with local dance lessons at 5yrs old, her love for performing expanded to drama class, short film, musical theatre, choreography, comedy, circus, photography, art school, installation, video editing, directing/forcing her friends into making YouTube videos to ultimately recognizing that combining all of the above was where she really thrived, particularly in her self devised work...if she can say so herself, which she will.. because she's writing this.

Smac's creativity has mostly been driven by her passion for comedy. Outside of art school and amidst musical theatre and dance performances she was creating skits with her best pal, competing in teen comedy comps and performing in comedy festivals. In 2013 she claimed her first international role in the touring production of Dreamworks How To Train Your Dragon Live Spectacular as the lead role "Astrid", a live action acting role featuring acrobatic stunts. The tour wrapped in Los Angeles California which lead to an opportunity to permanently migrate from Australia to USA, which she opted for the following day. Smac has had an adventurous career in Los Angeles thus far but particularly gained traction for her performance, choreography and content creation during the rise of her social media starting in 2020.

HOLLYWOOD, USA

Smac's Hollywood journey began in 2013 on a whim, at 20yrs old. Knowing no one in the city, having no plans, no support but no worries she immediately began researching how to find auditions for production work. Her first audition was for a short film, she booked the lead role which later premiered at the Hollywood film festival in 2013, kicking off her momentum. Smac's versatility has landed her numerous accomplishments in Hollywood so far including appearing on So You Think You Can Dance, Guest Starring roles on the series "Liza on Demand," CBS's "Why Women Kill", Nickelodeon's "Face's Music Party" and on AMC's "Fear the Walking Dead," in addition to booking over 60 commercials for major brands like Sparkle, Google, Honda, Sleepnumber, Hoover, Lowe's and more. Smac has also been a featured dancer in many A-list music videos and TV dance work, has produced content for major brands and companies, co-directed and performed comedy sketch/improv shows at UCB/Second City Hollywood/The Elysian, created multiple studio set design businesses and is currently showing her art exhibition debut as part of the Triennial at the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne Australia.

SOCIAL MEDIA

Smac has an ongoing track record for being a quirky viral sensation, notably for her creative approach to producing original content that merges dance, performance art and comedy. Her rise in social media in recent years has gained her 1.6 Million subscribers on Youtube, 2.6 million followers on TikTok and 610k on Instagram. It's hard to categorize Smac's social media other than being a variety show. Her mixed bag of ideas and creativity style has been set in stone since childhood, however, living in Los Angeles Smac felt the Hollywood industry pulling her focus and time into executing other people's vision's. It wasn't until the pandemic where she found the extra time and space to produce her own ideas with full creative control, and without hesitation began sharing endlessly to social media platforms.

Amongst her thousands of videos, it's her on-going performance art series "Hydraulic Press Girl" that has particularly been a crowd favourite. This series has taken the internet by storm, accumulating over 1 billion views. Hydraulic Press Girl has become a meme-ified recurring viral sensation, been featured at TED Talks, Adult Swim, as branded content, international news stories and more BUT nothing prepared her for the most recent development - An exhibiton debut at the National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne Australia. Hydraulic Press Girl as well as EMOJI, another original digital performance art series, are currently showing in the internationally acclaimed Triennial exhibition alongside 100 top contemporary artists from around the globe. From December 2023 - April 2024!

Behind the camera she is a businesswoman and co-founder of Retro Cetra, a retro inspired set design team based out of Los Angeles. Co-owned with her partner Ryan Conferido, together they design and build commissioned sets, installations and handmade home decor.

Above everything, Smac's main contentment comes from staying home with Ryan and her bunny Sonny, sleeping in, rollerskating, drinking tea and eating chocolate every day.
